While I?m straightening out the renewal B.S. (long story, but there?s a problem with the debit card PayPal sent me), I might as well get started on the HELP WANTED part of the site overhaul.


Don?t have enough time to commit to a full time ?job?? Fem-X always needs graphics, full designs, beta readers, and, as always, contributions! If you have a little bit of time on your hands, you can still help.

Well, it looks like quite a few of you are with me on not letting this site disappear! I've had a few offers to take over the site, as well as offers of donations to keep this site running under my control. I'm not sure what decision I'll make, but it certainly will involve Fem-X staying online for quite a while longer!
Also, as you may have noticed, the site has a new look! While sending people the info on how this site is run, I noticed the program I used for the archive had a LOT of upgrades since I started using it. The site now has quite a few new features. Take a look around and let me know how you like them.
Sadly, the skins made from the previous version didn't work well with the upgrade. When the text wouldn't display, I had a heartattack thinking the upgrade erased everything! Luckly, I figured out it was with the skins and not the database. So, for now I have a few of the defualt skins that came with the upgrade and I'm going to add a few skins from eFiction's skins forum.

I am incredibly saddened to say this, but I simply don?t have the money to continue to pay for this site. I?ve wanted to keep the site running despite not having the time to take good care of it like I used to, but webspace renewal time is here and there is no money to renew.



When I started this site (waaaay back in 2003 as a subsite), I was 19, in college, spending my free-time at either the comic shop or online. Now, I?m in my early twenties, married, and spending my free-time (ha!) chasing two very adorable little boys. I?ve loved watching this site grow and working with all the people that made it possible. theM, Helen, bless both of you!



If anyone wishes to take over Fem-X, please contact me through e-mail (daniroyerd at hotmail dot com), livejournal, or myspace. I?d be willing to help as much as I can. I don?t want to see this site go into internet oblivion. As it stands, I am backing up the site after I post this. I suggest all authors do the same just in case the worst happens.

The fanart section is now ready to for submissions. I actually got it to allow y'all to upload your own images to the server. There's still no power in my area, so I'm still limited on what I can do for a bit.

Well, I paid the price of living in paradise again this year. Wilma gave my area a nice thwack. My family and I are fine, as is our home, but power won't be on for at least a week. I was stupid enough to move all the site files to my desktop since it was a faster computer, and now I don't have access to any of the files or my web designing programs. In short, I can't do much with Fem-X. Thank god for the admin panel!

The anniversary challenge has been extended to November 15!

Fem-X's two year anniversary is coming up this October. In honor of this event, I'm issuing a challenge.

Write a fanfic involving an anniversary and the number two (2).

The deadline is October 31, 2005. Please mark all entries as part of the "Anniversary Challenge".
Speaking of twos, tomorrow is my son's 2 month birthday. I'll hush with the proud mommy stuff now and leave you to your femslash. :)

Another (slightly less labor intensive) project for this site is to get a good list of links going. Do you know about any good X-Men femslash, general X-Men, or any fandom femslash websites? Comment here and I'll compile a list. Thanks for your help guys!
